Only THREE trays per entrant for Judged Competitions

JUDGED COMPETITIONS

DIVISION III (Modern or vintage, post 1918, non-uniform buttons):

1.  Sec. 23-6.7,  25 any size.   Snap-togethers specialized to the best selections of Sec. 17    through 20.  Unlimited realistics.  2 points for snap-together qualities: 3pc, 4pc, 5pc, etc., fabric or flocked, glitter, other OME.  1 point for each pictorial section covered; try not to duplicate pictorial sections.  South Jersey Charm Strings, $5 3, 2.

DIVISION IX (Age not considered, non-uniform buttons):

2.   Section 20-3, 20-5, 20-15, 20-18,  25 any size.  Specialized to beings whose full figure is shown. (Minimum: 3/4 view of body). Balance between sections not necessary.  Unlimited realistics.  Ruth N. Berry Memorial Award.  (This award also submitted as 2012 National Button Society “Ruth Berry Memorial Award.”)  NJSBS Board of Directors. $15,10, 5.

3.   Sec. 17-0,  20 any size.  Specialized to animals found in Africa. In memory of Vi Osmun. Central Jersey Buttoniers, $7.50, 5,3.

4.   Sec. 4-0, 20 any size.  Specialized to             enamels assorted. Jersey Shore Button Club,      $5,3,2.

5.   Sec. 17-3, 20-18,  20 any size.  Specialized to 10 mermaids and 10 seahorses. Unlimited realistics.  Gloria Chazin, $5,3,2.

6.   Sec. 22-10.2,  20 any size.  Linear shapes specialized to 4 triangles, 4 squares, 4 hexagons, 4 ovals and 4 spindles. Squares and triangles can be modified.  Bergen Button Club, $5,3,2.

DIVISION IX (Age not considered, non-uniform buttons):

2.   Sec. 22-1.6.1, 15 any size.  Patterns specialized to snowflakes.  No limit on realistics. Gloria Chazin, $5,3,2.

3.   Sec. 23-4,  25 any size.  Specialized to          borders assorted. Jersey Shore Button Club,        $5,3,2.

4.   Sec. 17-0,  25 any size, Specialized to        animals found in the zoo. South Jersey            Charm Strings, $5,3,2.                                  

5.   Sec. 23-1.4.2,  25 any size.  Specialized to Twinkles, including backgrounds and borders.   Bergen County Button Club, $5,3,2.

6.   Sec. 18-11, 20-17,  20 any size. Specialized to winter sports/game equipment and people participating in winter pastimes, games and sports. Balance between sections not necessary.  Central Jersey Buttoniers, $7.50, 5,3.

We are changing some of the contest rules, please note the limit of THREE trays per entrant for judged awards.

We find that we are running short of judges and if we all enter all the contests we run too short of judges.

There is no limit for the Mount As You Please.
